Who is organizing the congress?
The congress is organized within the Banks Association of Turkey in cooperation with ………… universities.
Since when has the congress been organized?
The International Banking Congress has become a tradition. The 1st Banking Congress was held by the Başkent University on May 04-05, 2018 and 2nd Banking Congress by the Hitit University on April 19-20, 2019. The 3rd Banking Congress will be held in 2022.
Does the congress meet the Inter-University Council’s associate professorship criteria and the academic incentive criteria?
As known, the ASSOCIATE PROFESSORSHIP and the ACADEMIC INCENTIVE criteria in our country are evaluated by two institutions (the Inter-University Council and the Council of Higher Education) in the framework of various legislations. Our congress is international according to the Inter-University Council legislation. It meets all the criteria used in appointments to faculty member/lecturer, associate professor and professor positions.
What does the international nature of the congress signify?
National and international participants are accepted to the congress and the members of the Congress Science Committee include scientists from the higher education institutions of various countries.
Who can attend the congress?
Our congress is open to sector representatives and all scientists. You can participate in our congress with a paper or attend as a viewer.
I would like to submit a paper to the congress. What should I do?
Please first visit and examine our congress website. Then read the important notes under the “writing rules” tab. In order to participate in the congress, you are required to prepare a paper that adheres to the rules. You can sign up to the congress information system on the congress website and upload your paper.
How many papers can I submit to the congress?
An author is allowed to have his/her name on maximum 3 papers.
Are co-authored papers accepted?
Yes. For co-authored papers, the author to present the paper should be specified during registration.
Does the congress have any fee?
No fee is charged to the participants or attendees at any stage of the congress.
What is the language of the congress?
We accept papers written in Turkish and English in the congress.
I uploaded my paper to the system. What should I do next? How is the course of the process?
Your paper is first registered, sorted and filed. It is then sent to the person in charge of the scientific field of your paper for review. The person in charge of the review evaluates your paper in the context of certain criteria, such as relevance to the purpose and scope of the congress, writing rules, authenticity and scientific contribution. Accepted, rejected or correction decisions are given as a result of the evaluation. At this stage you are not required to do anything.
How can I learn my evaluation result? Will I be informed?
Candidates who apply to the congress can learn the result of the review from the congress information system. Only the authors of papers, for which a correction is requested in the prior review and overall evaluation stages will be contacted through the congress information system, and corrections will be requested.
What information is provided in the congress program?
The Congress program will provide the necessary information about your paper presentation, such as date, time, session number, names and e-mails of the session chairperson and session manager. You will also be able to find the titles, dates and times of the presentations by other participants throughout the congress.
Which platform will be used for the congress presentations?
Our congress will be fully remote/online. The digital platform to be used for our congress will be announced together with the congress program. Help information regarding the platform will also be shared.
Is it required or possible to use slides in my presentation?
Using slides is optional during the presentation.
What are my responsibilities during the session?
You are first required to be ready on the digital platform on the date and time of your session. It is very important that you have the setting and technology suitable for your presentation. The session chairperson will request you to open your camera during the session. You presentation is limited to 15 minutes and you are required to adhere to it.
Can I attend other sessions as a viewer?
Yes, you can. Watching the other presentations and contributing with your questions during the two-day congress will benefit you academically. Experts from various fields will make speeches at various times during the congress.
What can I do if I encounter any problem during the congress or the sessions?
The congress email address will be continuously checked during the congress. You can also contact through the email addresses of the session managers in urgent cases.
I presented my paper successfully. What next?
The congress booklet to be prepared once the congress is over will include extended abstracts of successfully presented papers. The congress extended abstract booklet will be available on our website. Then a signed participation certificate issued for your name will be sent to you through email. The full texts of the papers presented in the congress will be published as book chapters or as articles in the mentioned journals after peer reviews, depending on the request of the participants.
